Albany Police were called at around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, for shots fired in the West Hill neighborhood, near Second and Quail streets.
Officers found a 46-year-old woman who was shot in the leg and a 13-year-old boy suffering from a graze bullet wound to his arm. Both victims were taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A short time later, hospital employees contacted police saying a 30-year-old man had come to the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his back. The man was later pronounced dead.
Investigators said all three victims were together when they were shot.
Police did not speculate on a possible motive and have not yet identified the victim.
No suspects had been arrested as of Wednesday afternoon.
